it's a 97 integra ls...when i drove it to 80mph it makes a weird scratching noise..i not sure exactly where the noise is coming from because i can't really check it while driving. (it happens when i go over 80 too.) it's sound is hard to explain but i can't seem to find where it is coming from? any help will be very helpful

 

When the vehicle is stationary, try revving the car at 3K RPM then check. If nothing then try 4K RPM etc.

 

80 mph. is speeding. wheel bearing?

 

That's ok...most states don't have speed limits that exceed 70MPH so you should be fine...lol (kidding)...just take it to the shop...save a lot of time

 

If your suggestion is to take the car to the shop you should not be on ht.
And if you really have an ITR you shouldn't, because your suggestion is to take it to a shop.

Well think of it this way...if he sits on here for weeks trying to get an answer from people who only hear of the problem and aren't there to actually see the car to possibly diagnose the problem...and nothing works, he will have wasted all of that time whenever he could have gotten it diagnosed and fixed for probably next to nothing and in 1/4 of the time. I believe honda-tech is more for hints, tips, suggestions, past experience, future plans, selling parts, etc. or especially those things that are way to expensive to get fixed from someone else, or even if you're on a tight budget and need to know how to fix it...but not everyone can necessarily fix it themselves so maybe he was just curious if anyone has had a similar problem, an explanation, or a simple solution...and I do understand where you are coming from...but in this case I think that would be the easiest solution...and I however, have friends that can usually help me out with my car if I can't do something myself, but when all else fails I take it to the shop and let the professionals handle it...you know, the people that are paid to do it...it's their career, and it's something that helps keep the economy going...but go ahead and think what you want, i've mentioned how I feel about it...everyones entitled to their own opinion...that was yours, and obviously this is mine.
