Icon3 H22 into EK queston

im not sure if this is different than the eg model chasis but its for an EK. Im planning to swap a full JDM H22A into my 96 civic ex.

heres the queston?

do i have to cut/modify the chasis in the engine bay so the H22A can fit?
because i heard when you go H series you cant go back to D series or B series, similar to K series.

any answers?

so its just a straight swap, just like b series?

okay i have a bro in law with a 95 eg coupe with jdm h22a red valve cover, he messed up the transmission mount, now the motor is bolted up to the chasis with no mounts or bushing. he said that motor is permanently stuck in there. i thought he said when you go h series, you have to cut the chassis like a k20. are eg chassis different from ek when it have h22s in it?

You only have to cut out for the h shifter but its no big deal cut off what the shifter box needs then if you want to go back replace what you cut off its super easy...Nothing under bay has to be cut to go H22 but you should upgrade your front suspension/struts the rest is cake....

Your gonna need hasport mounts and your since the h22 is to big for the ek engine bay u will have to grind or dent in however u want the passenger side frame rail, its not even that much just enough for some clearance, also like the other dude said u will need to cut a hole for the shifter but make sure u do all the shifter stuff at the end when the motor is in the car or u will be highly upset when it doesnt line up if u pre cut it. People make it seem really hard but after u have watched and helped on a few it starts to look real easy lol..Good luck

the reason i wanna go h series because i have a coupe as a daily driver, i want more power for up hills or passengers, i still want the h22a...

i heard of clearances of it but do i have to cut anything from the engine bay, i heard shifter location, no big deal if you have friends that weld.
