Default manual to power doors - What's required?

Okay, I have a 98 civic dx hatch with manual door locks and windows. I found someone that has some doors that have power windows and locks. They're complete doors with everything. The question I have is, what else do I need? And, is there any DIY's on it??

Here: http://www.geocities.com/bellz252/pd...werwindows.pdf

This is for installing a SPAL kit. Seems like installing stock power window parts is harder than with this kit.

Well, I'll have the complete doors. So, I think I'll just have the wiring and maybe some relays or something. I have a wrecked 97 GSR with power doors and windows so I wondered if I could use some parts from it too..

none of these has answered my question. I don't want to use an aftermarket kit. I want to have OEM parts.

I did this on a 93 cx. I swapped the entire floor harness from a ex. Its alot of work gotta pull all the hvac stuff and the pedals. again it takes awhile and patience. I replaced everything in my stock doors since the doors I robbed were different colors.

alright these are your 2 options
1. get a 96-98 ex coupe floor harness and swap it out with your old harness. then plug up the door harnesses to the plugs on each end and your set. if you already have the doors you will only need that floor harness ( 120$ at honda or like 60$ at the junk yard)

2. you can do what i did and run your own wiring. you connect the drivers side up and down wires with the pass and well. its a long process but if you decide to do it like that ill help you out. those are your 2 options. dont get aftermarket stuff. i dont like it. just my 2 centys

That's what I needed. Thank you!
Do I need anything for the power door locks, or will that harness take care of it all? I'd really like to have keyless entry if at all possible. (and not too expensive)

you will only need the 96-98 ex floor harness. do you have a little blue box in your drivers door? if you dont you will need that as well. its called the door lock actuator box. everything is plug and play when you get the floor harness but you need to make sure you get a 96-98 EX. not 99-00 and not dx or lx. any other problems feel free to pm me. and for the keyless entry. just do the pwr conversion and get a nice cliffor alarm that unlocks your doors for ya. youll get keyless and security !!! security FTW

I'm trying to explain to a guy at the local salvage yard what harness I need. Can anyone help with this? I know that is the floor harness but, where does it run? Any diagrams would be totally awesome!

you also need the fuse box along with the floor harness

dude I hope you have atleast 2-3 days to fully dedicate to this project if you're going the stock route.
you have to lift up your carpet, remove rear panels, take out seats, disconnect floor harness all the way to fuel pump, do some wiring mods to the fuse box, etc....

or you can just get the door harness and connect power and ground to the switches, and connect passneger and driver doors together and your set ( switch out regulators, and door panels of course)
You can go the latter route and be done in 3 hours

it takes a few hours, a day at most.. and why would he need a new fuse box? you need three 20amp fuses and a relay.. not a whole new fuse box.

i did this in my 96 hatch, but i converted it all to 99-00 wiring, so i used a floor harness and doors from a 99 si. if you have any questions, ask. i was running just power locks with 97 harness's before.

if you have complete doors, ie, with the wiring harness already in the doors and such, then if its going to be a straight connection, look behind the kick panels, there should be a rather 12v connection that you plug the harness from the doors into. if you have this, then the swap is easy...if not....you have to run the 12v power supply your self.

you just need to get a power floor harness.. or you can run your own wires, but its really not hard to get a harness from the junkyard or something..

if you can't figure it out from that, there's no hope.
