yes 1/4 is too big, did you apply teflon or hondabond to the plug before putting it in to the head?

We put Honda Bond on the plug but no teflon. Any suggestions on stopping oil leak? The car is loosing about a quart of oil a day. Think we will pull his head and apply teflon and hondabond to the pulg this weekend.

I'm fairly certain you're supposed to use a 1/8-27 npt plug at the head. 1/4 sounds much too big.

Hondabond should be sufficient, mine was leaking when i first installed it too, i pretty much pulled off the plug, clean it up real good inserted the plug with plenty of hondabond and tightened it into the head as far in as it goes..I have no leaks whatsoever..avoid the teflon imo..hondabond is the best.
