lower ball joint castle nut

Default lower ball joint castle nut

i took the pin out of my lower ball joint and i try to turn it and the entire thing spins... i need to get my axels out do my motor swap and the castle nut just keep spinning.... am i ****ed?

same thing happened to me but it did it when i was putting them back on, you will probably have to cut it then replace the ball joint.

Ok go to your local parts store and buy some PB Blaster. WD40 just isnt strong enough. Let that soak for a good hour or overnight if you got time. Then after thats good and soaked in, go to town on it with an air impact wrench. If you try and do it with hand tools, youre going to spinning for a long time and get no where. If the soaking and air wrench dont do anything, chances are you will have to saw or cut it off.

Put a jack under the LCA and compress the suspension, then hit it with an impact.

Should come loose with ease.
