How do you remove this plastic part out? I have to run some speaker wires this weekend.

pull on it.
yes, theres just a few tabs holding it in, pull on it and it pops out

Nearly all those plastic interior pieces like that one are just held on with clips and sometimes a screw or two. They are meant to be easy to take off.
