Default CRV Axles for JDM ITR (36mm)

Hello guys, I would like to say thanks to H-T and special Thanks for clarifying information for Axles for JDM ITR (36mm). with the amount of informations on 36mm axles, I just want to confirm what works for me so far.

As many people mention, 99-00 CRV axles works. I have confirmed with O'Reilly Auto Parts that the passenger side works perfectly! I am currently having issue with the driver side axles. Here are the part numbers provided:

Item #: 60-4147 - Left Remanufactured CV Complete Assembly - w/ABS. (Fits but has issue)
Item #: 60-4175 - Right Remanufactured CV Complete Assembly - w/ABS. (works!)

I measured the driver side axles and it is about 25" long (36mm CRV axles) vs 24" long (b-series 32mm). Currently it is too long, I have confirm that AUTO and MANUAL is the same with part numbers via O'Reilly and SLHondaparts.com. The only thing left for me to try is trade out with a NON ABS axles and see if there is a differences. I hope this clarify some questions and issue that people are having...I will continue to post for a solution for my driver side axle (>_<)

Vinh

use the stock axels and change the outter end for some 94 accord ends and you'll be fine. I have 36mm on my integra but I have 86-89 shafts with accord outter since I have an H22.

97 Prelude S axles work fine for me. I have to replace my driver's side soon as well.

You don't have to take apart the axles at all, direct swap. Pre-96 Prelude axles will not work unless you swap the inner CV joints.

crv axles are too long, they will fit fine but when you got to drive your car there is a nasty bump bump bump, the axles bind causing the drive line to shift. you can use crv, prelude, accord outters on b series shafts. there is no difference between 97-01 2 wheel drive crv manual trans shafts, non abs just doesn't have the abs ring both sides of the cv's are too long, one side more noticable then the other.
talk about a head ache figuring that one out. ...

CR-V Axles are longer than Integra axles. Think about it. What's the ground clearance of a CR-V compared to a civic/integra? The CR-V is taller, and the eingine sits in the same place relative to the chassis, so the enige is higher of the ground also (same chassis). The axles HAVE to be longer to reach the center of the wheels which still sit on the ground.

Just use civic/integra axles and swap the outer joints . . .

I did it on my civic in his first config:

it works.
