^^lol

i wouldn't even bother with a D-series to be honest, at most buy an exhaust since you can retain it in case you do the swap, D-series header is different from b-series header, exhausts are always the same.

well, you can go a couple ways with this.

Option A: Just get a cat-back exhaust for your LX, the length of the intermediate pipe deletes the would be cat for an EX exhaust. When you swap and use a b-series header (except from an Si as they are shorter length) the header will meet your intermediate pipe HOWEVER you will need to cut and re-weld the flange as they will not line up. The drawback is now you do not have a cat, nor do you have the option to just bolt one in.

Option B: your previous idea, Get a header for an EX, Catalytic Converter for an EX, and catback exhaust for an EX.

just a recommendation, not sure what kind of exhaust you are looking for but i like the megan drift spec exhaust, i have bought several of them for my various cars over the years and have deal with http://www.bishopmotorsports.com/ every time. no complaints whatsoever. It's very similar to HKS Hi-Power exhaust, sans the HKS pricetag.

hell ebay headers are fine no matter what rep they get on HT. Take a look on any other honda site TONS of people making big power out of the Ebay headers on a D motor. Well into the 150hp range on an un-modded piece. If your going to swap it anyway why spend money on a DC thats the same damn thing. I have one on my car, been there bout a thousand miles now, no problems, had one on my old car, same thing just a longer time. Id keep the D and enjoy the 40+mpg capability right now and save all ya can
