hi i am doing a mpfi swap on my 88 ef 4 door its an automatic....the question is will i have to do the 5 speed conv now along with the mpfi or do they make a mpfi automatic ecu i am a lil stumped....i know there is a dif in obd1 but was not sure if the ecu in the ef's controled the shifting of the tranny like most newer models please help me i wanna get started....any input would be helpfull

pretty much what will answere my question.....does the ecu control the shifting and if so if i use the si ecu would i b able to shift the tranny manually ex. 1-2-3-d4 and than back to 1 at stop lights exc...or does the ecu control manual shifting also...

 

if you are doing mpfi but are staying obd0, get yourself a ps9 ecu. its from an automatic 90-91 civic ex and is mpfi.

 

oh i totally knew about the ps9 ecu i just didnt know it was a mpfi ecu thanks sooooo much man I LOVE HT yay now one more question lol anyone selling a PS9 ECU i have paypal pm me if u do
