1989 honda crx relay clicking fuel not flowing(injecting)
Please!

Just installed a 1.6L ZC Engine

>Hello, I am having issues with my Honda CRX. it's the 1.6liter ZC engine.
Here's what's going on.
We took off the intake manifold to replace a leaking gasket, and also we changed the oil filter and changed the oil.
When we put it on, the main power to the alternator fell and sparked and blew out the 50a main power fuse in the main power box under the hood.
We replaced this part(50a[yellow] fuse), but when we try to fire it up, no gasoline goes through the intake at all, and the Relay under the Drivers steering wheel clicks repeatedly non stop when you turn it over to the third notch on the ignition..
Now I realize that it may be an electrical problem, but can anyone please give me an idea of what i should look at/for in my system? Thank you!

so, what exactly is your problem?
if youve got no fuel
test power at wires going to pump.
maybe its the main relay?
alot of us having this issue now that its warming up

i definitely will reply to you, spens if i get an answer, and yes, xaine.
The problem is that I am getting no fuel pressure, keep in mind i am not very good with electrical issues on cars, the thing is, does the main relay click repeatedly when there is something wrong?

i havent messed with the main relay could some1 clue me in what that is and where its located, not trying to thread jack just trying to get some help because my thread had no luck
the main relay is under the drivers side right next to the main fuse box, sorry for the way i explained it i am horrible at explaining things.
it's a black box that says relay ***'y

ok i would replace the relay and check all you grounds. there is a output from the ecu to the main relay that turns the fuel pump back on after it primes. Either you short a ground or you ecu try swaping the relay and checking for burn wires close to the ecu.I had the same problem when i did my swap relay would just click a couple times and then nothing or sometimes it wouldnt stop clicking.

an exact answer i was looking for, i will be sure to try that tomorrow morning. thank you.
mine doesn't just click a couple times, it clicks NONSTOP lol.
could it be the fuel pump? i dont see why it would be but i hear that fuel pumps can short when you short a bigger fuse.

im pretty sure i found the relay its disconnected and it stopped making the humming, what is it i have to replace is it wires or the black box and how much $ would it cost
yep it was always buzzing it doesnt say relay assy tho but i kept my car on at the first click and disconnected it and stopped humming as soon as it was disconnected
you should have a family friend or mechanic look at that, quite odd.
does your car start?
the MAIN relay that clicks ishttp://www.autoguide.net/apf/images/...7940043lvz.jpg
the one you stated(RZ) is correct. and sorry about the price listing i believe that those are quite expensive.
According to a fellow friend of mine------------------------------------------------------
the main relay controls the fuel pump and if you are hearing a click from the relay then it sounds like the relay isn't holding so the fuel pump isn't running. you can confirm that the fuel pump isn't running by opening the fuel filler cap and put your ear near the inlet tube. then have a friend turn the igintion key to the ON position. you should hear a buzzing noise of an electric motor running for about 2-5 seconds. if you don't then the fuel pump isn't running and the clicking relay would typically be the reason why.
the relay clicks when the magnetic field on the coil side of the relay collapses and the contacts break then re-engage when the magnetic field builds enough force to pull them together. you may have damaged some of the windings in the main relay coil and the clicking is the indication that the pump isn't working.
the main relay is under the driver's side of the dash on the left above the kick panel. if that's the one that's clicking that would seem to be your problem
I would also check the fuses in the under dash fuse box. the main relay has two fuses. I think the fuse numbers are 10 and 14; they are both 10 amp fuses. you may have fried one of them. that may account for the clock problem or that may be separate. the clock is on the same circuit as the audio system if i'm not mistaken so if the stereo doesn't work then the fuse is definitely burnt.
i think your problem is with the main relay and you may have also blown a fuse.
hope that helps

SOLUTION!
I fortunately found a solution, what happened was my Thermostat Grounding was not hooked up correctly.
One little thing could **** up the whole engine. Check your Grounds, that could be it, buddy.
Now my throttle body is ****ed tho. hahaha
