Will the plastic surrounding part of the upper grille from a 96-98 fit over (mount to) the mesh of a 99-00 Si grille?
Is it shaped differently? And, will it fit the same as the 99-00 grille?
I've never looked into it before, but I found a mint VSM 96-98 grille for cheap and would like to use the "housing" for my Si grille if possible. I know all the other front end parts are different.

Don't think that'll work, they're 2 different grilles, not interchangeable.

 

You seem pretty sure. Have you tried it before?

 

dont think it'll fit.. i know honda has diferent part numbers for the two..

correct thay WILL NOT 96-98 DIFF FROM 99-00 . 99 00 ARE SMALLER they look the same tho

 

The 99-00 grille is wider than the 96-98 grille.
