Default 91 hatch.. need some opinions/advice

I have owned a stock 91 std hatch for several years. Some time ago the head gasket failed, so I bought another car to get around in. So my civic has been sitting there waiting for me to do something with her. I just recently obtained (for free) a 94 civic dx coupe that was mangled in an accident. The front end is good though. I've been researching on this site, as well as some others, for ideas of what to do with them. I know the block is essentially the same on both cars. I know I need to do a mpfi swap, and I need an si dizzy to make that happen. I've also read that the si dizzy wont bolt directly to the d15b head out of the 93. And that it will bolt up to the d16y8 head from the 6th gen. So I was thinking about a mini-me setup. I know I wont be able to use the hydro tranny from the 94 in my 91 unless I get a conversion kit, and I dont want to do that. However my 91 is a 4 speed, so I definitely need a 5spd cable tranny. I also have a set of front steering knuckles off a 91 ex sedan due to their bigger brakes & the higher spline count for the axles. So now that you know what I have to work with. I want some opinions on what I should do with them.... should I get the y8 head & move forward with the mini-me setup? Is it worth pulling the D15b from the 94 & using its shortblock? Also what suggestions do you have as far as engine management? Should I convert to OBDI & use a Hondata? I'm not looking to build the fastest car, but rather just a quick little car I can have fun with. Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated.

just swap the whole thing and call it a day. i mean, its not gonna cost you anything, you got all the parts you need for free.

So what you're saying is that the d15b will be a direct swap? Will I still need the si dizzy? What ECU should I use?

you HAVE to convert to obd1. theres no way around it unless you wanna ghetto rig it and continue to have problems. just get the conversion harness, a p28 ecu, and the newer head and matching dizzy, also to save you a BIG pain of work, get the dizzy converter. its like 50 or 65 shipped on egay. works perfect
