Icon6 RSX needs more power

So far all I have is:

Injen CAI
DC Race Header
2 1/2 Catback

What can be my next mod for more power? I still can't afford K-Pro,
but what else can I get for a some hp gains. Thanks

I don't think theres much more you can do n/a unless you start getting into the serious stuff. I/h/e is the basics.

You can start reducing some weight...Work on the clutch/flywheel to try and get more power to the wheels. There's cams, pistons, rods, retainers. Reflash would be a good option if you can't afford the KPro.

dont waste your money on the reflash, for a couple hundred more you can get kpro. def work on the drivetrain like pimpuall siad. also look into BOOST for some fun!

Freeze your credit card in a block of ice until you can afford K-Pro.

Without Kpro, you won't be realizing the full gains of any additional mods. I would say throw on an RBC manifold, that's a nice cheap mod. But again, without retuning it would actually reduce your power.

p.s. change your avatar before you get banninated

Throw some Nitrous in it. Quick cheap easy and effective. When done properly it's a safe option. I've ran nitrous before in the past and two of my club members are running nitrous now.

stickers- no
N2O sounds good.

I read on here, if I put an RBC manifold and don't tune, I actually loose power.
Some friends of mine did bring up putting k24 internals. Would I really see any gains?

Alright well I cant get K-Pro now, but I do have separate funds, so no matter what I do I will eventually have it within time.

k24 internals? You mean just cams right? You can do that. 06TSX cams are the best, but at the price I'd rather have K2 cams.

The RBC doesn't do you much good without a tune afterwards. Some say it hurts power some say it doesn't. Depends on the car.

You can buy my k20z1 crank pulley for an easy mod. lol

lol I don't really believe in putting parts from the same engine as "building" a motor..

GSR motor with Type-R parts.
b16 si parts with JDM b16 parts isnt "building a motor, just mildly upgrading internals.
might as well go after market. Right ?

Am I wrong?

if it produces more power, then it's a mod. don't sit around and complain about not having kpro, but you want massive gains. go boost or go home.

Yeah that's what I think too...I say if you're gonna build the motor, get parts that aren't put factory into other cars lol...get the nice aftermarket performance parts...but yeah you likely won't be satisfied with any gains unless you boost it, which i'm sure you already know that.

get rid of that junk header and exhaust, get a good 3'' header and exhaust, like a ssr, dtr etc and a 3'' exhaust, plus a ported rbc to 70mm and a 70mm throttle body, and of course kpro, and youll be pretty happy and dont forget a nice clutch and lightweight flywheel

i know forced induction is the best move.

RBC will be my next mod, i was just asking about bolt ons because more then half of ppl on here are just bolt ons and not turbo.

For what it's worth a TODA lightened flywheel on my 2000 ITR made the biggest noticeable difference in acceleration then all the other bolt ons I ever did before I tore into the motor.

you want big numbers for low cost. if you started from scratch, boost offers the highest potential based on cost.
