Default Should the motor die when you unplug the iacv?

Car was warmed up and i unplugged to see what would happen and it died immediatly, is that supposed to happen?

ONLY IF THE IDLES SET TOO LOW, NORMALLY IT'll just start fluctuating but not die

what is this iacv everyone talks about?

idk what the abbreviation stands for.

intake air control valve: it controls idle and cold start up, AC command, PS command, any rise in electrical load. helps engine run smoothly

When i unplugged it the idle was around mid 700 to 800 rpm, is that the spec on a gsr?
