Default suspension advice! please READ.

currently i have skunk2 coilover with agx shock. my agx shock is pretty much blown. this car is for DD ONLY! and i was wondering should i get lower spring or coilover?. yes i kno the difference. i was thinking ground control with koni. on weksos it 885 as a combo. but i saw on ebay ground control is 290 shipped. and koni yellow should b around 450 to 5? isnt it cheaper if i buy it seperate. what kind of koni yellow should i get? cause weksos give me an option to upgrade to the sp3 for 50 more. is it worthed?

is there any combo or coilover go for around 500? that legit for a Daily driver?. i want 0 or 1 finger gap only. what do you guys think about skunk2 full coilover . for 6

PS. can ya give me some LEGIT site for suspension? thanks

if you buy the GC + Koni combo, it will more than likely come with warranty.. and if you buy from a reputable dealer (like wek sauce) than it will come with the warranty for sure..

plus you should be able to choose your own spring rates.. the OTS (over the shelf) Koni yellows will be fine up to a 550 lb. spring rate. which many people using these on the streets don't have..

and if you are going to spend around $500 don't expect the suspension to last more than a year or two.. my ksports didn't even last a few months before the struts blew out..

just spend 800-1000 on the gc/koni setup and don't look back. i haven't regretted buying mine...

btw i have 450 rear, 400 front spring rates on OTS koni yellows. works perfect! and awesome for auto x

If by SP3 you mean the Neuspeed rebranded Koni Sport shocks, then don't bother. They offer nothing except more circlip locations (great for use with stock springs, uleless with a threaded sleeve) and a larger droop limiter (which I can't understand anyone wanting).

The last question makes no sense. OTS Koni is generally used to refer to a non-modified Koni Sport (Yellow). These shocks are also available factory revalved and referred to as SPSS3 valved.

For street use, spring rate is a personal choice. How low do you intend to ride? I would base spring rate selection entirely off of that. For flushed tires, 450 or more up front to help prevent bottoming. For ride quality, go softer in the back, 300 would be fine for most people.
