i have a 97 ek hatch and im going to be swapping the d16y7 sohc for a b18b1. i have the complete longblock, ls tranny. my question is..

the 97 ek hatch is obd2a and i think the b18b1 is obd2b. what will i have to do or what harness and ecu will i need to get this car running?

also, what mounts am i going to have to use for this car. can i use the stock ek mounts or do i get some from another car. please help honda techs!!!!!!

you will def need to get B-series mounts....look around you can find them everywhere...get a good solid set...as far as the obd situation, i believe if you have the whole engine harness from the B18 you should be set. Just run everything to its respective place. The main difference with the two is that the A looks for one o2 sensor and the b looks for two (i believe)....

 

ok thank you. btw what car can i get the b series mounts from? an integra, or an si? or does it not matter.; can i use any of my stock mounts?

 

99-00 si rear t bracket, may need the bracket on the block and its bracket for the driver side, and use the factory tripod **** on the frame driver side
