'Reversing' Mugen Sliders to fit non-Mugen Seats
I am trying get my Mugen rails to fit Momo Cup-GT seats. I exchaged emails and IMs with a few people recently who said that I could get them to fit if I 'reversed' the sliders. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this and can't find those emails or IMs.
Could someone explain it to me again.
TIA

remove the two red plates (allen screws) and swap them from one rail to the other... you will get the picture.
I did this but it will not work - there is not enought clearance between the side of the seat because the mounting points are too high. I can best describe it with a diagram:
|||||||||||||||| <-mounting hole
|||||seat||||||
|||||||||||||||| | <-mounting hole
..................../ <- aluminum side bracket
...................|
The mounting holes are too far up the seat side and the angled parts of the side brackets hits the bottom corner of the seat. I can only assume that some seats have their mounting holes lower.
This is with Momo Cup-GT seats. Oddly enough, someone on honda-tech (lost his IM) reports using the brackets with Cup-GT seats bu just reversing them.
Only thing I can think of is that the location of the mounting bolts vary between seats of the same model? Seems unlikely though
