i was just curiuos because mine is having problems.......when i start my car in the mornings, it stutters for a while untill my check engine light comes on and my vtec dosent work unless the CEL is on......well i guess my question is what all wires do i need to splice/cut/run for it to work perfectly. oh yeah forgot to say that its a skunk 2 program for dohc... hehe sorry

 

I have the skunk p28 too and when i first cut my on it stutters too and then it clears up but my CEL never comes on. I dont know what to do to fix it though, sorry.

 

I run Kenji's P28 and have no problems.

What splicing are you talking about? Check the code of your CEL and take it from there.

With some P28's there is a fluctuating idle, after awhile it will stop.

First check your CEL code, most people on the board can help you more that way.

I ran a P28 with a Skunk2 program on a B18c5 with no problems. I will tell you however,that the Skunk2 program runs extremely rich. You may want to consider a Fields unit,or something similar,to tune the program to a more ideal A/F ratio. That could have something to do with the sputtering start up your having.

 

I run a chipped P28 from Kenji and have no problems. However, when i did emissoins, i was 8 times the legal limit. I put the stock P28 ECU in and passed with flying colors.

Thats w/ the stock cat too. I cant wait till i run a testpipe then do emissions--that'll be some funny ****. I work at honda and i was showing the techs my 1st emisisons printout(8 times the limit) they were like !!" My car runs great, i dunno why my emissions was so bad.
