I'm looking at 2 different alarms.

HORNET 564T
Python 990

Are they the same or not? Hornet will save me like $60.

Also, I will be buying them from ebay. I've heard that DEI doesn't warranty ebay purchases, but I will only buy an alarm from ebay that states they will warranty it for 1 year. Is that safe? I cannot afford buying a 2 way alarm unless it is from ebay.

Its a risk, You risk buying a alarm that might not work, no warranty, no insurance that the person selling the alarm is even going to be around, back up battery that will not charge, fake mini sirens that sound like crap. Its a crap shot.

 

well which alarm would u recommend of those 2?

 

The python 990 hands downs, with a good install and back up battery it can be a winning combo

 

How much are you picking up the 990 for? I just bought a Viper 5901 off ebay for a good price.
