Default s2k exhaust on civic??

ok my car has 3 inch piping from the header all the way back to my apexi n1 catback exhaust, thing is that the exhaust is blown and going bad so it makes an ubber loud noise when tapping the gas and it sounds ricy and people just stare at me,my friend has his stock exhaust of his s2k and is selling it to me for 50 since he has a performance one already,i know i can put it on to fit well just the exhaust part but bieng stock will it restrict my air flow even tho its an s2k exhaust???

Well for 3 inch exhaust an s2k muffler will restrict flow somewhat... What is done to your car that requires 3 inch piping anyway? 3 inch piping is really only necessary for serious high hp builds...

i know right, damn civics don;t need 3 inch piping, lol.

just measure the inner diameter of the s2k inlet exhaust size and you will have your answer

You shouldn't worry about it fitting on the piping you need to change anyway...

If your not boosted or putting out TONS of exhaust 3 inch piping will only hurt your performance.

Just run open headers :], until you buy a new exhaust of course... maybe.

the s2k muffler adding "restriction" will actually give you more power unless your boosted. low displacement motors need the back-pressure to reach max hp and tq numbers

Yeah, it simply means. Nothing after headers, no exhaust. Just flowing out the headers and it will make any car sound like a monster truck. It would be fun for a day, but honestly people who leave it are just annoying.

And yeah, stock motor and output needs stock back pressure, aka 2 to 2.25 and/or restrictive muffler, MAYBE 2.5 piping if you really do plan to go turbo.
