Blown engine...little rust.

Just curious. There is one locally I was thinking about snagging.

I think I can snag it for $1k!

I might have to do it. Hell...I still have the old 1.5L I could drop in.

**UPDATE**

I'm going to look at it tomorrow morning.

I guess it has a little rust and a few dents. Nothing major. The guy said the interior is in great condition. We'll see. He wants $900. He seems kinda firm on that. He's got a brand new Apex-i N1 cat back exhaust for it not installed. Wants like $500 for that. If this car is decent...maybe I'll tell him $900 for the car AND the N1. Hmm...either that or maybe tell him $700 for just the car. It has a blown engine, therefore it isn't worth much to your average person.

I can't decide if I buy it what I will do...

A) Drop my stock CX engine/tranny in it and sell it to make some $$
B) Drop a SOHC VTEC and sell it (make even more if I can find a swap cheap)
C) Drop something else in it and keep it. I was thinking LS swap...then turbo. Then I'd have two fast hatches.

**2nd UPDATE**

I just got back from seeing the car. It's pretty rough. Not horrible, but my CX hybrid is in a little better condition.

It has rust in the rear qtrs (where all the Civics rust) and has some dents all the way down the passenger side. The hood has a couple of dents...the front clip has a pretty good crack in it. The windshield is cracked.

The driver's side looks pretty good. The interior is clean...

I don't know guys. This hatch might not be worth more than $500-$700...

More suggestions...

I paid 1800.00 for mine and it runs fine. I personally wouldn't pay more than 800.00 for it.
