Played with some E85 on a JDM ITR in a "less-obvious" chassis today...
Recently, we've been doing some work for an older gentleman who shares a great passion for Honda's.
This time when he dropped the car off to us, he requested we do some fuel-efficiency tuning on regular 93 octane, as well as wire up a switch to his Hondata S300 for the ability to run E85 for when he drives the car cross-country (which he does quite often).
The car just so happens to be a 1979 Honda Accord CVCC, and the engine is a '96-Spec JDM B18C.
Here are the results from the 93 octane (dotted) tune, and the E85 (solid).

The gains aren't huge, nor is the power output anything stellar to begin with, but considering the horrid header on the car (2.25" collector, catalyst), there were definitely gains.
Only mods to the engine are a generic short-ram intake, cheap header leading to a 2.5" beautifully crafted exhaust, Precision 44cc injectors, and Hondata S300.
Surprisingly, the car didn't want a whole lot of timing over the 93 octane map, but it runs wonderfully.
The car is super-fun to drive as is, and power wasn't really what he was going for, so he's pleased.
There are very few practically-stock JDM ITR swaps around here that light the tires up from a roll in second gear (thanks to the small tires. LOL).
Here are some pics of the car itself. It is beautifully restored in every aspect.

Just thought I'd share something interesting with my fellow Honda enthusiasts. :D

Man, if just put a good suspension in that thing.
The car is just incredible in person.
D, great job on the tune.

Finally got around to snapping some shots of that thing.
No, actually. The swap was performed a couple years ago by another shop in MD, but there were some issues.
The shift linkage barely functioned, the power steering used the Integra pump, which didn't provide sufficient pressure for the old style rack (so we retrofitted the OEM Accord pump to the engine, and have it spinning off the AC drive on the crank pulley), and the wiring was a bit messy.
We cleaned it up a bunch.

No lie, a couple weeks ago when we had just installed the S300, we took the car out for a road test and came up to a mid-90's Eclipse GS-T driven by some teenager.
You should have seen the look on his face when he was left behind by a 1979 Accord CVCC.

LOL! That is so sick.
BEAUTIFUL car!
One of the best swaps I've seen!
Can you tell us what he runs for his fuel setup? Is it an in-tank pump?
