IMW-Tuned: Stock block K20A2, T3/T67, Full-Race mani, pump gas
Thought I'd share a friend's car I tuned this afternoon.
The setup consists of:
100% Stock block K20A2
Stock pistons/rods
Stock headstuds
Stock cams
RBC intake manifold
Full-Race sidewinder manifold
T3/T67, .63 A/R ex, E-cover
44mm TiAL wastegate
Custom 2.5" charge piping
Full-Race vertical-flow intercooler
Custom 3" downpipe
Custom 3" exhaust
Precision 880cc injectors
Walbro 255
Hondata K-Pro
Car was put together/turbocharged a couple weeks ago, and tuned on wastegate pressure.
The 44mm-gated Full-Race sidewinder manifolds naturally creep, at least in our experiences with them, so the initial tune had the boost going from 8psi to 11psi by rev limit. This time around, we installed the boost control solenoid, and smoothed the curve out in K-Pro.
Here's the pressure graphs.

As you can see below, the added pressure definitely helped it out.

And here's one of just the last run.

He was very pleased with the numbers, and we agreed that there would be no more power added until some race gas was sourced.
BTW, the engine is in this chassis...

The car went 11.55 @ 120mph off the wastegate pressure with no two-step or anti-lag setup.
Just thought I'd share some decent pump gas power on a stock block.

is that tooch's old manifold or is that from someone else? def looking good, and i can't believe how fast he has gotten this thing from the last motor!

we just did a very similar setup as far as the turbo and manifold but in an ep3 with a K24
vtec at 3300 FTW! sick tq numbers, we are pulling out the OEM cams now because they peak early and dont make power very high, but it should be a really fun setup
Nice job guys!

Cant argue with that! Those are some great numbers on a stock block. Putting b series car to shame. Was never a fan of that chassis but 11's on pump=sweet.
Here is a comparison of the old setup at 14.5psi and the current setup.

Dotted line is the B-Series it went ten's with.
