D series make more NA power if you lower the compression... Just use a dremel to grind off the piston domes to make a dish piston. port and polish you factory header.. should net 200whpzzzzz

allowing any modifications to the engine and the body of the car, I am currently running a D16Z6, stock internals!
well if it allows and mods why not boost it or swap it? Or build a D18 like what i told you to look up. The torque on that thing will be ridiculous, your basically running a near 95mm stroke and a sleeved motor can go up to 78mm no problem. Talk about power and torque
