transmission swap with used tranny
I have a 97 EL with manual transmission.
I recently ran into some transmission problems (weird noises) and the shop says it will be around $2000 to fix the problem. I have found a manual transmission from a 00 EL at an auto wrecker that only has 38 000 km (24 000 MI) on it. It is likely that the transmission has been sitting in thier warehouse for the last few years.
I was wondering if there would be any problems with installing a transmission that has been collecting dust for a while?

should be in the same shape as when it was pulled, so if its good it should still be good as long as they didnt leave the cv joint out for stuff to get in it, but a flush could probably fix that
