2000 Honda Prelude SH Supercharged
I have a 2000 Honda Prelude Sh with a jackson racing supercharger. I had a new clutch and timing belt put on and the motor was pulled to do so. it then blew a seal for the oil crank. got a new one and now it is pushing the dipstick out. I was told this is because the car has too much pressure. Any ideas as to how this could be fixed?
Ok so I did the Compression test today and the readings came out as follows. 190,192,200,188.

I'm a little confused by your wording. When you say, "seal for the oil crank", are you referring to the crank seal? You have two of them. A front crank seal, and a rear crank seal. If you're getting a lot of blowby, it will blow seals out and push your dipstick out. I'd check your rings if i were you.
Sorry for the confusion. The seal that came out was under the timing cover. and connected to the small belt. I was told it is the Oil Pump Crank however i do not know. Is there any way to check that without tearing the motor appart? will replace pcv valve today and see if that helps. Thanks for the replies.
Yeah, that will definitely do it, too. Cheap insurance. Honda's pcv valve service interval is every 60,000 miles. If you haven't done it, yet, and you've got 60K, I'd definitely replace it.
Ok got a new pcv valve and put it in and still getting same problem. drives fine under 4,000 rpms anything over that is when it pushes the dipstick out. when they did my clutch and timing belt they pulled the motor. is it possible one of the pressure hoses is going to the wrong spot creating the pressure or just the piston rings. also is there anyway you can check that without tearing down the motor?

how many miles are on the engine? how long has it been supercharged? does it smoke? it sounds like your getting alot of blow by. the breather trick will help it for a long time.
110000 miles i think supercharger has been on about 15000 dont know exactly though cause it was a car i had traded in. neither the engine or exhaust smoke. what is the breather trick??
No trick. Either buy or make something like this to relieve the excess crankcase pressure.

Do a compression test first.

took car to a local shop and had leakdown tested. said that 3 cylindars came out to 30% and one came out to 27%. Said that wasnt the best but shouldnt be enough to push the dipstick completely out. he said that he can see a couple hoses that are disconnected but cant see where they go to without taking the s/c off.
Either you're completely messing up conveying the actual leakdown results or the shop is moronic. Probably the first one. 5-7% is about as high you want to see in leakdown.
I may be mistaken ill have to call and verify. I have only put about 50 miles on the car since i've had it. was traded in at my dealership with the clutch slipping bad but was driveable. Did not have the problem with the dipstick coming out. as far as being tuned I have not messed with anything in the car it is just run on the boost/retard controller and the vpac and I havn't messed with either yet considering I was trying to get it to run first. The shop also told me that the speed sensor is not working which means vtec wont work.
