I got a completely stock(for now) 1990 civic ef hatch with a d15 vtec and it was starting fine until a couple days ago and now it wont start.Just changed spark plugs and wires and gets spark but doesnt start just turns over.What can it be any ideas i think its something electrical?please help!!!!!!!!

 

your vtec crapped out on your d15b2, time to change it

 

maybe main relay.
check fuel pressure.

 

are the wires on the dizzy right? did you change anything else other than the plugs and wires?

 

I will bet its the main relay it just started getting warm and everybody is having this problem

 

if the main blew it shouldn't turn over?

 

if the main relay is dead, it will just crank, but it wont fire.

 

Ya if the main relay went bad it can crank, mine cranked had spark had fuel pressure and still wouldn't fire I had the main relay fixed no problems.

 

i hate those relays ive had to replace it in all three of my ef's multiple times the one is my crx si just went out and i replaced it for the THIRD TIME

yea damn main relay's.... love being stranded not able to start back up..... or love driving around and out of nowhere my car turning off going competency silent...

Make sure you have the correct firing order. Regarding the main relay, sometimes it won't even crank just as what happened to mine. replaced it and all was good. BTW, it's next to the coin tray by the left kick panel.

 

check your flue pump yet? see if gas going into your engine
