Default 99 Civic Si A/C stopped blowing cold

So today my A/C stopped blowing cold. From what it looks like its not the compressor as I wired it straight to the battery and it works and blows cold air. What could it be? The climate control not working? Any suggestion on what to check?

the compressor is not kicking in when press the A/C button, but when I wire the compressor straight to the car's battery it works fine and kicks in. So I know that the compressor is good and that the freon is there as I checked.

Maybe check fuses. Or even a A/C pressure switch thats gone bad? If you haven't messed with anything out of the ordinary i don't think the wiring would just go bad like that. Unless you've got a mouse infestation.

Well I was thinking maybe the climate control is going bad since also the blower only works on high setting. Not sure though. I didn't mess with the A/C and also checked the plugs by the condenser and everything looks good.

I don't think so but I will check again, you are talking about inside the engine bay right? Anything else it could be?

Fuse 56 is under the hood.

Fuse 17 is under the dash.

There are other possibilities, but this is where to start.

You'll need a multimeter to test for continuity. You can use a hot wire from the battery as a power source.

I know that that compressor clutch does not engage, but does the condenser fan run?

Update: Fixed the issue with the A/C and also found out the issue with the blower motor only blowing on high. There is a bad contact by the condenser where the A/C plugs in. Moved it around and started working again. As for the blow I swapped out the Climate Control from my friends Si and was able to adjust the blower and worked on every settings.

Thanks for the help RonJ@HT
