Default Clearcoat Overspray...

I got some clearcoat over spray on my new glasses...And...Well...Anyone have any tips to get it off safely?

are they glass or plastic lenses? plastic i have no idea, glass you can use reducer.

They are glass...I was thinking about using the same process as you would on a windshield...But I wasn't sure how that would effect the thinner glass in terms of leaving marks.

steel wool works wonders. i've used it before on glass and it works fine.

Do not use steel wool on your glass. It will scratch it. Dont believe me go try it n see

Yeah...I thought about a claybar...That's what I meant by same process as a overspray on a windshield. I think I'll stay away from the steelwool. Razor blade if it comes down to that. Thanks fellas.

not if you use the right kind it wont.
as long as it has 4 zereos 0000 steel wool will not hurt it 1 bit.
anything other then that it will scratch like crazy.

Might as well start wet sanding them with 1500 and work up to 3000 then buff em...lol

if its your glass then just use nail polish remover!!! just make sure u have like a towel underneath it so it do not drip to your paint. it works wonder!!!!

mine are glass...we did shoot ppg chromabase, now we use standox..... i use the reducer and it works fantastic on base and clear

also, mine are autodarkening and it hasnt effected it in any way

i usually clean them every day but atleast within 2-3 days

I use steel wool all the time in autobody class. thats what my teacher recomends.
