Default remote start problem

alarm: Viper 791 VX
car: 1990 civic sedan

A little background on the alarm. Its used, bought from a former BB employee. Previous owner used everything but the remote start so the relay satellite was brand new when I bought it.

The alarm was installed a few weeks ago. Everything worked flawlessly until yesterday. The remote start fails to crank when activated. When activated with the remote, the car turns on but doesnt crank. It will start with the key though. All the connections are good. Does this mean it could be a failed relay satellite and is there a fix that I can do myself? Will DEI honor the warranty if bought used and self installed?

I don't think DEI will honor it since you are the second owner and did not have it professionally install at the shop.

If it is a 5 speed check the clutch switch or where you bypass the clutch.

check the neutral safety wire may be loose or was flip to the off position

check power to the remote start power wire see if it has a blown fuse also

check the starter output wire see if it puts out 12v to starter side when remote start
