Default Any one use a Greddy Td04h?

I kno its a small turbo with internal waste gate with a 5lb spring but im ill be changing it to an 8lb spring but some one is selling a used one and im on a budget with my build, its either buy an ebay kit or piece one toghether. I want to kno if it will be easy to find a downpipe and manifold that will bolt up to this turbo, and i am also getting the turbo rebulit because it has little shaft play

I believe it's the same size as a stock wrx turbo as well.

Honestly if you're planning on having it rebuilt, why don't you just buy a different turbo? You can find something probably as cheap, that's easier to work with and makes more power. The problem you have sometimes with doing this kind of setup is that parts won't always match up. Downpipe fit depends on location of turbo, which is determined by the manifold. Intercooler is the same way. I'm a big fan of doing things on my own, especially something easy like piping. Good luck.

im using the greddy td04h turbo on my build i know im going to max out the turbo way before the injectors which is why im going to upgrade to .57trim turbo when i start my vitara build or a gt30r...i love my td04h right now for the fact that when under full boost the turbo screams!... but after one year of having the td04h its time to move on to something bigger... and trust me if you want to have a fun street car this is the turbo for you since it spools so fast and it will give u decent power...i ran a 14.5 with a horrible clutch while i was just on a basemapped since i didnt think my d15b7 was worth it to spend 500 on a tune for and all i had into it was headstuds and a head gasket...

oo i just got home from dropping the turbo off at the shop thats going to rebuild it, they said they would make me a custom down pipe aslong as i get the footprint, problem im having now is finding a manifold that'll fit cuz the t3 manifold that i was planin on using was to big and the holes would not match up unless i get an adapter plate made or buy one if they make em

yes you can use a manifold for that turbo but it has to be a manifold that you can run bolts on both sides for the adapter plate...i have a stock b16 with greddy 18g and i converted it to external wg by welding the flapper shut and i made 350 hp and 252 tq...dont let people tell you it cant be done...look for the adapter on ebay...but this project will cost you more money than just getting a external wg turbo but its up to you

thx.. ive been lookin on ebay but cant find anything, the person rebuilding the turbo told me that he can make me an adapter plate because he has to make me a custom down pipe because its a 4bolt flange on the exhaust side
