hi im building a 1.7 gsr all motor and i just wanted to know which type of cams, valves and pistons are are more durable and give out more perfomance my goal is like 260 hp my setup is the following in a crx si

arp connecting rod bolts
arp head bolts
shaved head
pro series valve springs
titanium retainers
intake
exhaust
bronze clutch
255 fuel pump

 

260 is very ambitious for a 1.7L. I would set the hp goal at 200. Use stock valves, CTR pistons (you can't shave the head if you use these), Skunk2 Pro1 cams should work well, and get a Toda header.

 

260 is probably not happening off pump gas.

What's the motor for?

#s don't matter as much as powerband.
