Default Starting taking longer

I bought my 2000 EX coupe brand new in 00 . But as time has gone by I have noticed that it takes longer and longer to start . Doesn't matter what time of day it is or anything like that . I remember when I first bought it , you turned the key and the car fired right up . Now it seems I have to hold the key to start it longer now . Is this just aging process ? Or is there something wrong like a fuel filter or something like that . I would like to know if its a possible problem so I can take care of it before it developes into a bigger prob . Thanks
