Default How much did you pay for your b18a/b?

A guy here where I live is selling a B18b1 out of a 99' integra with 97,000miles. It comes with the distributor and he wants $380 out of it. Is this worth it??? Just trying to see hown much everyone else is paying or has seen them go for. Thanks!

I have bought (2) LS motors in my time one was my first motor swap and i paid $500 for it. Recently I just bought one for $250. I would say $380 isn't a bad price at all showing it comes with all of those components dist. etc. Make sure the vins match the car, and also request to see the cluster to the car it came from to make sure it has the lower mileage.

Also you can use the distributor that is on the motor, but it all depends on what chassis you are swapping this into. if you are swapping into and EF it simply won't work. An EG chassis i have heard that it can be done but you must wire it into and obd1 chassis. Easiest of all get the right dist. for the OBD of you chassis per motor.

For example, if you are swapping this motor into an eg hatch since egs are OBD-1 get an OBD-1 LS non-vtec distributor.

Well the engine is out of the car, he says it ran when the car was wrecked. It has 91,000 miles on it with the intake manifold and distributor. I dont know if the car is around or if he scrapped it. Anyone else? Thansk so far!

I'm really contemplating on buying this since my D16y8 is about to take a **** and has been a nightmare since I got it two years ago. Plus I could always sell it and the stuff off of it for some money down on this engine setup. Just trying to see if I'm getting ripped off or if this is a decent price?

that is not a bad deal at all im bout to pay 395 to replace my blown ls and that is without the dizzy and some sensors but also there a bit harder to come across around here cause everyone already has them just try and make sure that's the true miles and that it comes with everything you need

you have to use the harness that is original to your chassis so yes, and how are you going to do a compression test when the motor is out of the car?

Paid $650 for my first one back in the day. 50k fresh off the boat from japan and had a warantee and a paper trail. The paper trail came in handy when selling the car.

It was from an importer in florida
he didn't send the ecu, cracked starter, no exhaust manifold, broken tps, no timing belt cover, missing small parts
then he just stopped answering emails

Damn that sucks bro, this is what I dont want to happen to me. So picking locally sounds like the best bet. If the rain would ever f-ucking quit then I'd go to the junk yard. Up.

i payed 600 hundo in sacramento, ca to get one from a yard. ls motors seem to be hard to come by in northern cali nowadays.

seems like you gettin good price.

mine was less then 91000 miles and runs great. more pull then my 96 ls swap before it blew. make sure you get the motor and overlook it before you take it home or purchase it. make sure it got everything you need or got all the holes for sensors that you need.

dude tried sellin me out of state car taht didnt have spot for crank angle sensor. dude said it wouldwork in my swap. i told him he is a liar. which he was. anywho sounds like good deal
