i have a ls swap and my car bogg at 5k rpm. my car's a manual and my ecu burnt out so i replace it with a auto ls ecu. so now it bogg at 5k and would not allow me to go past 5k if anyone have this problem or know what could of cause it then pls let me know.by the way the car ran perfectly fine until it hit 5k and just bog out. thanks

 

bump... car is a 96 ek with 94 b18b ls swap. heres some details on what happened and a list of what has been checked out already. car has always ran strong before.


it was at an idle and the ecu shorted out. it orignally had a p05 ecu, i had an auto p06 ecu laying around so i installed this and it runs but bogs around 4k rpms.

tried another distributor from my 98 spec ls swap and still had the same problem so i know the dizzy is good. also tried out some plugs and wires off my other swap that are for sure good.

tested a throttle body off my other swap and im for sure it has a good tps and map sensor but still has the bog.

checked the timming and its was good.

currently throwing cel 19- for auto trans. and cel 14- for iacv but it has always had the iacv cell and still use to run good.

i have tried a buddies p75 ls ecu but still same issue, tried this ecu out in my buddies 99 ls swaped ej1 civic and it ran without the bog but had a bad idle. ecu should be ok so that narrows it down to something electrical, wiring harness or something related to the ignition system.

any suggestions would be helpful??
