Default What's the best "racing" computer ?

Hello

I have already a Buddy Club Racing Spec 3 on my car, a catjack, i'm planning to buy a 4-1 header later (surely a JDM 4-1) but i have a problem with the ECU

In france, no one knows how to tune Apexi's Vtec controller correctly, so i thought i coud be quite good to replace the ECU by a racing one. (with earlier vetc engagement and high rpm)

So, who does good computers and not too expensive ??

Thanks

Mugen!!!! But it's expensive.

I would say, keep your stock ECU for a while... The stock ECU is quite good already...

What are the specs of this ecu? Is the ecu spec set or can he custom fuel map/ignition curve/vtec crossover/rev-limiter? If its set, does anyone know what's the vtec crossover and rev-limiter?

A friend of mine after Mugen ECU installed never got is A/C working again.
It does not uses the A/C control, now he has to use a switch or the ITR in idle will stop.

well they do tell you that is disconnects the A/C... And there is a way to reconnect it. Someone here has done it.

Little known fact.... the ITR already comes with a switch built in!!

The button is labled "A/C", You just push this before you come to a complete stop and "poof", problem solved.

Sweet!

Some hear say "facts":

Comptech and Mugen ECU have the same maps, rev limit, timing curves

Plus it's cheaper

Of course it cheaper... The Comptech one has to be shipped off and with the Mugen you get a complete replacement ECU. Plug and play. No downtime. And I dont think they have the same maps. Ive heard the Mugen ECU is almost impossible to hack and read. Probably isnt true, but thats what Ive heard.

stop wasting your time and get a motec u foos!!

ADM goodness..

or if you dont need all the features of the motec just get a power FC

Whole point of changing your engine management is to tune your car to the individual mods you have done... Not to tune it to the way Mugen thinks your car is modded.
