yes, most honda's do. look at where the oil filter mounts, if you can. you'll see two coolant lines running from it's mount..

The coolant around 80C degree when engine warm, what's the point of that oil cooler more like warmer rather than cooler..

Sorry, but I have to be picky. Most Hondas don't have the oil coolers. Just the higher horsepower models do.

Oil runs alot hotter than the antifreeze. 350F to 400F isn't unheard of.

U.S. b16's don't have them. I bought new hoses from a Type R.

The JDM B16/ZC, have the oil cooler, the Delsol B16 doesn't have one, but the 99-00 Civic Si has one, the B18C/C1/C5/specR have them. The B18A/B don't have them. Anyway, there more for initial startup to help get the oil to normal operating temp. But they also keep the oil regulated to a normal temp too, since the radiator radiates heat.

So if you have a jDm b16 with a standard oil cooler would it be necassary to install a remote oil cooler for HPDE's at Laguna seca or will the standard one be sufficient?

Back from the dead, Im about to put my b16 head onto a ITR block that I just picked up. I noticed that the ITR block doesnt have the cooler on it(someone took it off for use on another engine).

Will my b16 oil cooler bolt up to the type R block?

I just noticed that the oil cooler was missing tonight when i put the shortblock on the engine stand.
