WORST DAY OF MY LIFE..wrecked my car. is it fixable?!
so today i got in the first wreck of my life. been driving for 2 years and never thought it would happen. i thought if it did it wouldnt be my fault..
but the one day i wasnt payen enough attention to the guy in front of me it happend..
i was looken off to the side and a guy cut the guy off in front of me and he slammed his brakes and i hit him...
i dont know if its fixable because how messed up the radiator support is...
it cracked my block and pushed my hasport to the side on the timing belt side where the mount bracket goes into the block. a chunk got cracked off but the motor is still held up but the mount is a little crooked.
i know the motor might be a loss but is the car??
is it a hard fix ?
idk if i should get a new shell and swap everything over but i dont know much about anything im still semi-noob so i dont know if i could do it but i guess i could try to learn how to swap a dash and what not. but the motor i couldnt do forsure... ive always wanted an si hatchback so thats a positive thing but i just been with this car for 2 years and i love it. it pisses me off at times but in the end ive been through so many things with it..i feel like an idiot. i hit an escalade but it just scratched up the rear bumper and scratched his tow hook. i was only going 15...if only i was going 50 id be gone.didnt know how dangerous these things are in crashes

my uncle does body work so i have to have him look at it. but i dont really get that much of a hook up. if its cheaper to buy a shell i might as well i guess....

I think you should be okay as long as the frame isn't too messed up. Sorry to hear this happen to you. Similiar thing happened to me too, I was lookin off to the side and rear ended some old lady. My radiator and my front was pretty bad. It was almost a total lost. It was devastating. I wish the best of your car bro.
looks fixable to me, i did the same thing but went under the back of a jeep.

It doesn't look like the block is damaged, but you never know, but that looks way more than 15mph. I hit the lady going 30-40 and mine didn't turn out too bad.

yes i didnt get out of 1st gear and i dont rev past 3k daily driving everything happend so fast so it seemed so slow but maybe im just like mindfreaked from it happening i can see me going no much more over 20. i think its the way i ended up hitting the guy his tow hook smashed right into my radiator support i think. im so surprised it cracked the block where it did. i had issues where i was getting rid of this motor anyways because the guy that sold it to me ****ed me over with a bunch of **** and it became a big deal and i was planning on going fully built single cam turbo in october..but now this. im starting to hope its fixable...

if i do end up fixing it at a reasonable price and i get a new front end my uncle said he can get aftermarket fenders and hoods and everything for cheap but will the outcome be shitty because its not oem???
i almost want to start over with a new car that has a stock single cam vtec in it because thats what i want to do. my gsr only dynoed at 120hp because of the guy messing up cutting the gap in the piston rings too big..well thats our guess. and selling me a ****ed up tranny. so it would be 800 for a ring job and 800 for a new tranny.plus labor install.1600 to get me back to a stock gsr and it made me hate b series because of the situation i was put in. sucks it had to happen to me but now alls i want is a quick boosted single cam...

a front clip depends on what you get.
the one that i mean for you is just the radiator support clip.
just cut your old radiator support, sell for scrap, then weld your new clip/radiator support on.
get new fenders, bumper, hood, lights, etc and your good to go

its obd2 converted to obd1...the part where the mount bracket goes in though is cracked...i think it could be fixable but im not sure. im not sure how much id sell it for i gotta wait till i get everything fixed first ecause its basically stuck in there the way the radiator support is.
im actually feel motivated that i can fix this. the subframe looks like theres no damage.
so maybe there is hope because today has just been so damn depressing.

the part that cracked on the block may just need to be welded...
but it looks like you missed the frame rail, fenders may be able to be fixed, cant see drivers side but the pass looks fine. i say fix her. she will be that much more important to you....
just make sure to go oem on the core support.

fixable yes worth it no just look for a shell swap your stuff on and ride. i am a body tech believe me when i say your gonna get into alot more work then you have to. either way good luck

i had a ek with a b20 swap, got hit just like you it ripped the mount out of the engine. took it all apart and had it tigged up put it all back together and still made 249whp!

daam, it cracked the block on that nice *** motor ****kk ! The core support you can change out. cut it all off and weld a new one.
