im doin a high boost motor and am lookin for some advice i have a type r bottom end and i am re building it before i do the setup which pistons would be ideal for my build

aftermarket pistons.. dont use the type r cause the comp is to high for alotta boost

 

what would you recommend

 

i would run CP forged pistons and rods. for a high boost app get the 9:1 compression ratio.

 

the cr all depends on what your goals are and your boost levels but around 9-9.5:1 is always recomended.. the piston brand is all prefrance some say JE some say Wiesco, CP, Arias what ever looks the best for you or a shop with a good background recomends

 

Im running cp 9:1 with manley rods in my gsr block. Im not running the gsr specs I swapped to the ls 89mm stroke. Im running 24 psi around 560hp.
