H22 throttle body
I'm wondering what size I should go with for an all motor h22 build. It's and h22a and I have a euro r manifold and I'm wondering if I should go with 68 or 70mm throttle body. Also should I get one that's tapered to increase velocity? What brand makes a good one for the big block of honda? I'd mainly like the opinions of people that have builds that make 230whp+. Thanks in advance guys.
^^^^ This is what my shop has been telling me. The thing is I have heard 68 is what you want as not to lose velocity. What's your setup what numbers are you putting out?
it depends alot on what your intake is.....if your runing straight ram air or if you have a v-stack it will change what you have running...some of the big boy h guys run 72mm but that depends on what your running...just make sure whatever size you get your TB that have the IM match it as well

for me a choose a 68mm. i would have gotten a 70 but rosko suggested that 68mm is fine cause if he match it the euro-r mainfold it would leave the walls on the entry way really thin... i don't have numbers yet but thats what he told me...i know 2fastgsr when he had his 2.6 was running like a 72mm if i am not mistaken and so was hah2b..look at there builds to give you some help.

OP my question to you is,
What other mods are you planning on doing to the engine other than the Euro R manifold? You don't mention any internal mods. Why does your shop, figure you would need a 70mm throttle plate?
My suggestion would be for you to get the engine up and running with the stock throttle body and see if it is pulling vacuum at WOT. If it doesn't pull vacuum with the stock 60mm then you probably wouldn't want to waste your time with a 68-70mm. If your not doing any major internal mods don't waste your time getting anything bigger than 62mm-65mm.

would coupling a skunk2 IM and a 70mm TB produce better results than a Euro R intake with a 70mm TB? Either way modifications will need to be made in order to even bolt on a new IM on my prelude. Just curious of which one should yield better results.
There are some dyno's floating around comparing the intakes, but from what I remember and knowing the manufacturers, the S2 will likely outperform the Euro-R on the top-end, but the Euro-R will have better midrange and better power under the curve unless you are revving the motor out.
