My friend just got a 2000 civic ac/radio console. he wants to put it in his 97 hatch. is it just plug and play? when he gets the old one out will the plugs and stuff just match up? will it fit in the hole? I searched but couldnt find.

 

i think the wiring is a little different. i seen a write up on here before the board changed. but it should fit right in there

no it is not plug n play at all,
the vents are diferent for 1 and the wiring is different the 99-00 is electric the 96-98 is not.
you will need to get the whole harness, as well as the heater unit it self, plus the piping,
once that is done yes it will fit,
but as far as now NO it will not fit or work
