Ok guys my friend bought a 89 DX Hatch, and the guy he had bought the car from had swapped an engine in. The engine is a SOHC ZC, and he needs to replace the header that is on it.

We are going to the junkyard tomorrow and need to know what car to get a header off of.

any d-series exhaust manifold or header from an 88-2000 civic will bolt right up. The only differences are where the O2 sensor bung is and some of the earlier models had the catalytic converter on the exhaust mani, instead of after it.

Keep an eye out for those 2 things and you'll be fine. Aftermarket headers are pretty inexpensive so don't pay too much at the junkyard for a stock ex. mani. that doesn't flow as well.
