Here are the details:

When – June 27
Where - Silver Dollar Raceway
Who - Anyone who likes to race and has a vehicle that qualifies(see rules)
What – See Rules
How much - Buy a tech card which is $25 (including entry fee to the track). If you want to run in the index race it will be an additional $15

Rules:
1. Vehicle must be powered by one single cam piston engine
2. Displacement limited to 2.4 Liters
3. Multiple power adders allowed
4. FWD Slicks allowed, maximum size 26 inches, RWD drag radials or street tires
5. NHRA style ladder will be used after 2 qualifying runs. 8 car field, if over 12 cars will do a 16 car field


Payout info:
Ed at SDR has said that he will take the $15 out of the tech card/entry fee and pay it back as the purse. The winner will get 50% of the purse, runner up gets 30% and semi's (3rd and 4th place) get 10% each plus winner gets a trophy!

Qualifying starts at 2 pm with 2 runs to get on the ladder. Racing starts at 3pm and will have to be wrapped up on time. These is a great opportunity for you single cam warriors to work on reaction times and get some passes in and possibly win some money racing! Tell your friends, bring your cars and lets have fun. Make sure that you have a battery hold down, all your lug nuts, etc.

Possibly if I get the rest of the bugs worked out but my car is on a different level then everyone else so dont know how they would feel about racing a full out race car in a street car

 

If there would be a possibility let me know. Can you dial it down and run 24.5's?

That is a nice setup you have, I remember when you first posted the dyno chart, it made me smile!!! Hopefully we can get a few people to come in from other areas, I would love to see a 16 car field.

If we were voting I'd say let you run the 26s...but I'd LOVE to run you on a set of 24s

likewise, I'd love for this to be a big turbout for Honda SOHC setups!

 

dont think 24s are going to be possible.. have to change to much to do so.. but I would like to come out and do some passes.

 

It would be nice to see your setup. But as you was saying, i would doubt that you would have any comp either. haha Just see if you can borrow some 24's and join the fun.

 

hey man, and we've spoke on D-series before. It would be nice to see you/setup in person as well. Hopefully it will make for a nice event.

 

24.5s are not going to be possible.. I refuse to pay to use them for 1 event..

 

If we get enough interest, this may become a split event with 2 classes. I will talk to the rules committee and see what their thoughts are. Dont want the RWD guys complaining too much, lol!
