Pic of my 96dx hatchback i bought...
i searched for a hatchback for 6 months. At first i searched for an EG style hatchback because of the cheaper price, but i had no luck finding a good deal. i found this one a couple weeks ago in an autotrader. i bought it for 5500 out the door from a dealership. it is in perfect condition.. no dents or dings!! and perfect interior!! it will stay stock till i buy a type r engine.

Dude that's pretty cheap. Especially w/a ITR motor. Spending like about 10g's for a pretty fast car.
I realize you said no exterior mods but I would recommend getting the oem chin spoiler, it finishes off the front end even on a stock civic. Thats my only exterior mod and I love it, the front doesnt look so lifted anymore. For 60 bux or whatever they go for from the dealer cant go wrong. Nice color
not bashing or anythng but u need some rims..anything! lol j/k
by the way, nice car! i was lookng at a 98 hatch for 8g...almost bought it but i rather do a swap on my EG VX

Hey bro, nice car!
Your first mod choice (the Type R motor) is a good choice, but trust me on this one:
You will NEED better brakes and certainly some better suspension soon after your swap.
I have a B18C5 in my 1992 CX and I love it - would not trade it for any other set-up. If you have any questions on what you'll need for the swap, or how mine's turned out for me, then just IM me here.

They are selling Type R swaps for $4,800.00 on that site.
