so its my first time to dyno a k24 all-motor
some guys make 300+whp on these things.
so we gave it a shot...too bad its way off the 300 mark hehehe
k24
wiseco ots pistons (std bore)
skunk2 camshaft
skunk2 valvetrain
k-pro
1000cc injector
custom header
twm itb
fluidamper
pump gas

tuned for an hour playing with vtc and ignition... (it can be veeerrry tricky!)

the blue graph is with RBC
the red is twm itbs...
headers were custom...but we are talking with ssr as of the moment...we'll see....

Nice, thanks for posting! What kind of things did you try with VTC and ignition timing? kpro doesn't really come with a good k24 basemap does it? Are you getting any knock count with the wisecos?

its a wiseco ots. around 13.4:1 if i remember it correctly on a k24 and 12.something on a k20.

yep, i recorded a few knocks at the start of the tuning session...about 3 or 4..
vtc was trending down. like from 35 to 19 at cutoff and ign timing was around 32..

Still seems like the RBC manifold is the best choise for most K series setups!

The numbers are strange to me, I would think they would be higher. Well at least I hope
this is similiar to my future set up and Im shooting for at least 300
With ITB's Im sure you could find some more power with a better tune. You have cam gears? I think you should retard the crossover. Did you say you had knock though?

A 2.4L K with 13+ compression and the correct cam should be making more than 190 torque. The TWMs are not the issue. I know someone on K20a.org has made 340+whp with them and DTR/SSR made 290+ with the 5% smaller 52mm.
Which Skunk cams are you running? Anything less than stage 3s and they are too small.
How restrictive is your exhaust? You should be making 280/200+ with the setup and Skunk stage 3s on the stock head
