Well I have set my sights on a new 09 si after 16 years in a 93 civic si. Have done some reading on here and was woundering what types of problems you guys are seeing with this current production of si. I saw the run of trans problems, 3rd gear grind and that honda is taking care of that. How about anything with 02 cell codes when running a free flowing exhaust like with prev models. Or any other little problems that are quick and easy to avoid

the 3rd issue is the main one, if you're fine with that then i wouldn't worry about anything else. the cel for the o2 will turn on if you delete the cat without using a defouler, but the defouler is a cheap and easy fix.

 

Our 09 Si shifts like butter, better than our 07. It will stay stock so don't know about the 02 codes from running header or cat-back.

 

Well just picked her up this evening after I got off work. I forgot how nice it is to have a new car. Drove around and put some miles on the clock. I can see this car getting my in some real trouble it revs so smooth and quiet seems like before you know it your well over the speed limit

 

im running a vibrant race header w/ no cat and no cel. ive driven almost 2k miles and nothing. put it on a couple weeks ago. i dont have a defouler either. i also have a i/e
