I got this turbo from a friend who works at a junk yard.....I jst dont know much about turbo's, the stamping on the side says a.r. 60 m11 and its a garret it came of a d16..I just wanted to know if this would make good hp on an ls or if this is even a good turbo?

I'm afraid there's no way to tell from this information. You'll need to measure the compressor and exhaust wheels, pictures of the turbo from at least 3-6 angles, and if it came off of a factory turbocharged application.

 

sounds like a t3 .48 hot, .60 cold, possibly off the turbocoupe/mustang, ect. good to about 300 if this is the turbo i am thinking. Worked well on my stock b16a several years ago, excellent street turbo, midrange.
