head and block question.
couldnt find it searching honda-tech.
Ive got a crx si with a JDM zc dohc swap in it. but the block has a crack in it.. dont care bout that though.. and the crank pulley bolt is stripped out.. dont care about that either..
question is will ALL the internals except the crank (cause the d16a1 block is perfect) fit into a d16a1 block? and will the prelude si 1988 b20 timing belt still work with the dohc zc head on the d16a1 block?

not ALL of the DOHC ZC internals will work in the D16A1 block - the rods and pistons will work - oil pump and timing belt tensioner are different, among other things like the main cap girdle - the biggest problem with trying to use the D16A1 block is that you will need to fabricate a driver's side engine mount as the mount on the D16A1 is different from the DOHC ZC - you would also need to do some modifications in order to bolt the transmission and starter on - the timing belt would work if the DOHC ZC timing gear would fit the D16A1 crankshaft - there were 2 different crankshafts for both the D16A1 and the DOHC ZC, which had different diameter front snouts where the gear and pulley go on - your new crank would need to match the old one
