Default 96-00 Civic Front Lower Control Arm

Are all model cx, ex, dx, etc... front lower control arms interchangeable?

Yes, but if you have an OE sway bar you'll need an LCA that has a mount hole for it, or remove the sway bar.

Other than that, they are completely interchangeable.

Yes. (Confirmed from Eran.)

There are three different front LCAs (info from Eran, who knows suspension far more than I do).

CX/DX - 2 piece cast. No front swaybar.

EX/LX - 2 piece cast. Swaybar endlink holes for lateral swaybar endlinks.

Si/CTR - 1 piece stamped steel. Swaybar endlink holes for pivoting endlinks.

Just thought I'd add, in addition to all those LCA's, you need the proper shock forks for each.

IE -- if you're putting in an EM1 swaybar (26mm) and the stamped one-piece LCA's, you need the shock forks from a CTR / EM1.

EDIT: Upon looking at the part numbers, only the 26mm bar with the stamped steel LCA's require a different shock fork. All the two-piece cast (swaybar or not) use the same shock fork.

Nope, throwing an EX LCA on a CX, so I should be alright.

Thanks for the info.

Glad to help, even if I was just the messenger.

Thanks.

I'd be lost (with suspension) without you.
