ok so my motor sounds like its knocking when i turn it on, the motor starts to overheat after couple mins of driving and the oil light starts blinking on and off, then the car starts reving by itself. i hear other b18 motors knocking the same way but not as loud. i changed the oil 2 times and it still does it put more coolant in changed the thermostat. i dont kno what else it could be. help a noob out please

 

Are you burning oil or coolant? Have you checked your timing?

 

i think both cuz when i would look at the coolant it was gone after couple mins of driving

 

Your motor is probably done. Try a compression check but I dont think it will turn up too good.

 

could i just get a newer bottom end and put my head on that or would i just have to get another motor?
